We are still recovering from the craziness that went down at the Gothic Theatre last Friday night, but here are a couple awesome highlights for you to relive the event (or check out if you missed being there). We crowned an awesome King And Queen We “trended” on Twitter in Denver We danced our asses off We had Chewbacca on stage People took photos in our photo booth Those photos played behind the band during “Beauty Queen” We played a clip from “Revenge of The Nerds” We had great Denver bands like Wheelchair Sports Camp, Della and Broken Tongues Many more people dressed like nerds than we ever expected As evidenced in Westword’s slideshow from the night!
Wikipedia is down today, and we at Bop Skizzum could not be happier. They are working to stop SOPA, PIPA, and internet censorship – and we thank them. Learn more here.
We're so stoked! Live recording of our Muse cover, packaged with the new Heavy Petting single!
So cool! We released our new single “Heavy Petting” on New Year’s Eve, and we really hope you like it! Photos from OneRepublic Benefit Show in Denver!
We had an amazing time playing with OneRepublic, The Fray, Flobots and Matt Morris last Thursday! AND we raised nearly $90,000 for the three charities that One Republic was supporting: Food Bank of the Rockies, Denver Santa Clause Shop and Children’s Hospital. Check out these photos from Aimee of Greeblemonkey:
Our new song! STILL TIME
We have been having a blast in the studio with our new lead singer Julie, writing a ton of new songs and experimenting with different styles of music. We are so excited about our first song together, “Still Time.” We went with a more pop style for this one, since Bop Skizzum has always been about mixing it up. This is the first of many new songs to come – we really hope you like it! How can you get the song for your very own? Go to our Band Camp page and name your price (even zero dollars, just give us your email!). Thanks for all your support, let us know what you think! AND DON’T FORGET TO SHARE IT WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS! P.S. Thanks to Aimee Giese (aka Greeblemonkey) for the awesome cover art!
